Part-Time Academic – RUSN 2046.03/FILM 2346.03: Eastern European Cinema: War, Love, and Revolutions – Fall 22′
Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
This Part-Time Academic will be fully responsible for the teaching and grading of one section of RUSN 2046.03/FILM 2346.03: Eastern European Cinema: War, Love, and Revolutions in the Fall term (September to December 2022).
This online, asynchronous course addresses Eastern European film and related media through the lenses of such topics as political and cultural discourses, postcolonialism, ethnicity, gender, film and media industries, and/or censorship. This position reports to the Chair of the Department of Russian Studies.
All instructors hired to teach online will be supported by Dalhousie’s Centre for Learning and Teaching, and Academic Technology Services (support@dal.ca), to deliver their courses online. More information about preparing to teach online can be found at https://www.dal.ca /dept/clt.html.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
The successful candidate will have preferably earned doctorate or be ABD (All But Dissertation) in Cinema and Media Studies or a related field; or in Russian Studies, Eastern European Studies, or a related field. They will have a proven teaching record or potential for teaching excellence. Experience with teaching in an online environment, especially with asynchronous teaching, is preferred.
Salary Range/Pay Rate
